Not trying to turn our news section into an 'all iPad, all the time' blog. However, it's interesting to monitor these new media developments.

Maybe we should round up a group of artists / designers and release our own storybook conversion.

I am not an iPad fan. In fact, while I do not *hate* the iPad (it would be silly to hate an inanimate device), I strongly dislike it to an exceptional degree. Sure, it looks nice and has excellent multi-touch, but the platform itself is too closed and restricted. It is, as this video showcases, nothing more than Kindle on steroids (with color). Its singular purpose is to be an iTunes and iBooks selling platform--everything else is garnish.
