Starfinder looks rather promising.

I could also see the potential reawakening of games in the vein of Cyan World's The Manhole in the children's book concept vignettes.

Apple Tablet Concept Video

This was shot in 1987. It's certainly not as polished or astounding as you'd expect a concept video to be these days, but it demonstrates some concepts which did not reach fruition until many years later -- namely, webcams and internet video chat, comprehensive search algorithms, touch screens, and portable solid state memory.

(The concept product design and UI design are truly horrible. What didn't look horrible in 1987, though?)

Another nice take on the tablet concept was recently furnished by BERG and Bonnier R & D:

I'm very curious to see how these ideas gel in the coming year. Moving content into the digital realm will open a lot of creative doors for writers, artists, and other producers of high-quality content.

A clever advertisement for a Finnish film company.

Be sure to watch part one, as well.

Update: I fixed the link for part one.

These short films were created by Woodpecker Film.
